ok, I admit that I listened to KRPC’s Michael Berry this morning. I got up late and was too lazy to change the dial. It was worth it though.
As I wrote yesterday, KTRH is changing its format next Monday. Well, so is KPRC. As of next Monday it will be the “9-5-0 AM Radio Mojo” and according to Berry, it will be “man-talk.”
My question: What the hell is “man-talk”?

My guess is that “man-talk” will be M. Berry & the sad-sacks who call in going on about Natalie Portman wearing a schoolgirl’s uniform?
It’s been so long since I’ve heard “man talk” I couldn’t say. ALL my best friends are women, so I’ve been regaled with dicussions of ovarian endoscopy (I got to see a picture — yay), the trials of pregnancy, and the heartbreak of hairy nipples. I was once even invited to a bachelorette party (I respectfully declined).
You guys aren’t much help.
I wrote an email to Chris Baker, one of the hosts for the new “man-talk” format to ask him what it was.
He wrote back, asking, “What are ‘man-talk’ topics?” So, I replied, “I don’t know. That’s why I asked you. I think you had better figure that out before next Monday.”
Man talk should be about porn, guns, and how badly women treat us men. Toss in some sports, discussion of beer, and handyman tips to make it perfect. Anything else would be watered down man talk or something altogether different.
I was reading another blog and a commenter refered to “man-talk”. I think I’ve got it now and will probably write a post about it after I listened to 950 for a bit on Monday.
(I know I said I wouldn’t, but how can I not at this point?)
