“Each case is different and the circumstances are considered separately”

Obviously.

Last December at about 8:00 p.m. (temperature around 40 degrees), a couple of toddlers were spotted alone in a car.  Shortly after, the children’s grandmother returned from shopping at Walmart and was arrested.

Yesterday at about 12:30 p.m. (temperature around 84 degrees), a couple of infants were spotted alone in a car.  The owner of the gun shop where the car was parked asked all his customers again and again if they were their children.  Almost an hour passed and a man who had been in the shop the entire time walked out to the car.  The infants were allowed to go home with the man.

Indeed, each case is “different.”

Contrived

Michael Berry made the news again.

I find his “performance” this morning, repeated this afternoon, to be contrived.

Think about it.  He hopes that this lashing out will be the big bang of the story.  When the justice comes,  Michael Berry will be long gone :)

Riddle Me This

Barack Obama’s dad wasn’t born in the USA.  Mitt Romney’s dad wasn’t either.

So beyond the birther thing, why is Obama a Kenyan and Romney not a Mexican?

For the GOP, seriously, which is worse?  They hate anyone not from the South and they hate all of us from the South who don’t agree with them.

They — the GOP — are narrowing it so much that no one can agree with them.

I quite like that.  And I like the fact that Michael Berry is having to fight off Mormons.  Just wait until they find Joe Pags. . . wait, perhaps I should call in tomorrow morning.  It’s an idea.

Clear Channel Texas Goes Off the Deep End

As happens at certain — unusually holiday — times of year, Clear Channel has made some changes.  Here’s my favorite quote:

We heard from KTRH listeners that they wanted more of the Michael Berry Show, and our goal is to provide listeners with programming they want to hear.

Yes, that’s all Houston, San Antonio, Portland, and all the other cities (supposedly being expanded to) need is more Michael Berry.

As someone whose job requires quite a bit of talking, I can sympathize — no empathize — with how Michael Berry will eventually feel about hearing the sound of his own voice.  Unless, of course, that is the sweetest sound to his own ears.  As for me, shutting up for a reprieve is always looked forward to, being that I am not quite so into myself as Berry probably is into himself.

I feel a little sorry for Joe PagLIARulo.  He’s doing everything right :)  He’s even on Talkers Magazine list (Number  57!!!!!  Michael Berry doesn’t even make the list.  Damn, even Chris Baker is on there!) and has subbed for Glenn Beck!  But who is Clear Channel going with to expand?  Michael Berry.

Yes, that same Michael Berry who has hoodwinked Depelchin into letting him do spots for their adoptions, even though he can’t find nery a one American kid to adopt.

Yes, that Michael Berry who has spent the last few months (years?) decrying libertarians and now he is one.  (Take that Chris Baker!)

Yes, that Michael Berry who was stupid enough to let Dan Patrick, of all people, take over the Republican mantle in the Houston area because . . . well I don’t know why.

I still hope to get a galley copy of his new book whenever it is eventually published.  It will already be out of date, much like all of his other tactics.  Face it Berry, Dan Patrick has lapped you several times over.

It’s the Little Things

. . . that make me happy.

First, the bad son next door was booted out by the larger family after the old man — my friend — was found down by the bayou in the wee hours of the morning by cops.  Last straw, as it were.  I was so relieved when I heard the news.  Yesterday evening, a couple of family members took the old guy out for a walk.  He was clean and well dressed, cared for, unlike how the bad son had treated him.  It was good to see.

The mommy kitten has returned.  I hope she stays around.  The three girls who are left seem much happier since the fence went in.  No their only trouble is the crazy squirrels.  If Tilly ever caught one, I don’t know what she would do with it.  I doubt she ever will because Baby Girl always joins in late and is not a very good hunter and ruins it all.

I planted lettuce from seeds I collected from the last crop.  It’s all in the new-ish bed left from the fence experience.  I’ve got mint and onion seeds incubating inside.

The PBS series Prohibition is very good.

Republicans are getting all race-y in their in-fighting.  They can try to hang this on the press or the president, but I think they are going to piss a lot of people off.

And then there’s WHITE HISTORY MONTH.  How do you celebrate?

Why Didn’t Perry Debate Bill White?

That should now be clear.

I don’t know why Perry’s people didn’t keep him out of the race until this spate of debates were over.  Seriously, why not let these debates pass and then become the savior candidate?   Was he worried about the Johnson guy from New Mexico?

Now, the death cheering, military booing crowd wants Chris Christy.  And what will that bring?  More of the same.  The usual suspects, Michael Berry, Chris Baker, Kevin Whited, and Cory whatshisname will poo poo Perry now, but just wait for them to defend him once this debate this is over and Perry can go out and stump on hay bales (very expensive now).

The dance these four do is more entertaining than anything they try to cook up about immigrants or businesses or their insider baseball on republican politics.

Wankers.

Teabaggers: No one likes you, No one wants to be you

The most recent polls on teabaggers show that only 12%, or maybe 25% claim to be them.  Of course, a large number of these people seem to reside in the greater Houston area:  Kevin Whited, Cory, that fat guy, King Street Patriots, Michael Berry, KTRH, KPRC radio.  Joe PagLIARulo is in San Antonio, which is a satellite for the baggers.

AM radio’s listenership is down, much like support for the teabaggers.

With the Republicans fighting over 12% of the electorate, that seems to leave about 88% for President Obama.

PEACE OUT
